Books of 2020

Every year, one of my new year resolutions is to read more. And well, every year I’m really great for about a month, or one book. Then I just buy books, but rarely find the time to read them. This year, I’m trying something new. Every time I finish a tv series, I have to finish a book. And based on my Netflix/Amazon Prime/ Disney + history, I’m going to be reading quite a bit this year.

The below are all the books I have read so far this year with a little review. I will updating this post with every finished book. I also have a review of these books saved as a highlight on my insta, @meredith.m.huber.

Happy Reading!

  1. Where Do I Begin?: Stories from a Life Lived Out Loud by Elvis Duran (BIOGRAPHY) – I have listened to Elvis on Z100 every morning since I was in elementary school so I loved reading his story. However, I wish he put more of his family and background in the book – I guess I just want to know everything there is about Elvis!
  2. Make Your Bed by William H. McRaven (PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT) – This is a quick read based on a commencement speech that the author gave. It inspires you by giving you 10 rules to live by that can help change the world! Must read!
  3. The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena (MYSTERY FICTION) – A mystery novel that I could not put down – even in Disney World and that’s saying something. If you like mystery, this is a good one and a quick read.
  4. Own Your Everyday: Overcome the Pressure to Prove and Show Up for What You Were Made to Do by Jordan Lee Dooley (PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT) – This is an amazing personal development book that I couldn’t put down. If you love Rachel Hollis, then you love Jordan. She is smart, witty, and so relatable.
